Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Pay: $18–$24 per hour (based on experience)

Primary Purpose

Support the school health program and provide care for students and staff under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid Texas LVN License

• Current CPR & AED Certification

Skills

• Basic first aid knowledge

• Strong organization and communication skills

• Ability to maintain records and use basic computer programs

Experience

• At least 1 year in a health-related position

• Experience working with school-age children preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care following student health plans

• Administer medications per district guidelines

• Assist with health screenings and reports

• Communicate with staff and parents as needed

• Support students with medical needs

• Maintain accurate and confidential health records

• Follow all safety, health, and district policies

Additional Duties

• Assist in ARD meetings when needed

• Support and guide clinic aides

• Follow all emergency and safety procedures
