Ehrhart School Business Manager
Ehrhart School is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive School Business Manager to oversee and manage the financial and operational functions of our campus. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient business operations while supporting our mission of academic excellence.
Position Overview
The School Business Manager is responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the campus, including budgeting, purchasing, payroll coordination, compliance, and reporting. This role works closely with campus and district leadership to ensure fiscal responsibility, transparency, and alignment with state and federal guidelines.
Financial Management
- Manage campus budget, accounts, and expenditures
- Monitor and track funding sources, including state and federal funds
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and reimbursements
- Ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures
- Assist with audits and financial reporting
PEIMS & Data Compliance
- Support and maintain accurate **PEIMS data reporting
- Collaborate with campus staff to ensure timely and accurate data submissions
- Monitor compliance with TEA requirements and reporting deadlines
- Assist with student, staff, and financial data verification
Payroll & Human Resources
- Responsible for Accounts Payable & Payroll
- Coordinate payroll submissions and verify employee time and attendance
- Assist with onboarding, personnel records, and HR compliance
- Maintain the confidentiality of all employee records
Operations & Campus Support
- Oversee purchasing, inventory, and vendor relations
- Support daily campus operations and front office functions as needed
- Assist with grants, including tracking and reporting expenditures
- Coordinate with leadership on operational needs and planning
Grants Management & Oversight
- Oversee all campus grants, including federal, state, and local funding sources
- Track grant budgets to ensure expenditures align with approved applications
- Monitor timelines, compliance requirements, and reporting deadlines
- Collaborate with administrators to plan and allocate grant funds effectively
- Prepare and submit required grant reports and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all grant guidelines, including allowable use of funds
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- Experience in school finance or business operations (preferred)
- Experience with Ascender software
- Knowledge of Texas school finance, PEIMS, and TEA compliance requirements
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
